ZoAnne + Shane’s wedding up at Kelowna’s local Ski hill Big white Ski Resort was a magical affair. They had booked the luxurious Crescendo ski Chalet and their friends and family stayed with them and nearby so they could spend their 5 day destination wedding together. Snow filled hills, horse drawn sleighs,

ZoAnne + Shane had their first look at each other privately for the first time on their wedding day. It was such a special moment.
One of the amazing things you can do is go for a horse drawn sleigh ride through the hillside. Off we went for a little ride. It was a moment to capture some portraits of ZoAnne and Shane with their wedding party as well as some portraits of just the two of them before the sun went down before their evening ceremony.
The families met us just before the ceremony so we could do the family portraits before we lost the daylight. A great way for a bride and groom to get most of the portraits out of the way so that they can go from the ceremony quickly to the reception to celebrate their marriage with their family and friends.
After the wedding ceremony we snuck out for a few moments to take some twilight portraits on the skating rink in Happy Valley. So cute how the ref came out to help them out onto the centre of the ice. Such a Canadian moment eh?! Haha. Ok I’m a nerd. I know.
We headed into the Kettle Valley Steakhouse for their wedding reception dinner. TTM Events did a beautiful job on the decor, the steakhouse had such beautiful presentation of the food. Multi layer charcuterie trays filled with local cheeses, Seafood Platters full of King Crab Legs, Oysters, Prawns + Mussels. The baked Alaska looked delicious!!
ZoAnne absolutely loves fireworks and so perfect as Big White has a spectacular fireworks display every Saturday evening. I was thrilled because it was just so pretty!
The day after the wedding I met up with ZoAnne & Shane outside their chalet “Crescendo” on the Hummingbird run just below the village centre. So much fun for me as we have seasons passes and have been skiing Big White for the past 15 years. I got to join together my love of skiing with my love of photography. We skied/snowboarded down and managed to have a few laughs and get some beautiful wintery images.
